The Reality of Promise

Push. Pull. Poke.

Stretch. Squeeze. Squish.

Restrict. Restrain. Control.

In this latest body of work, I explore the emotional toll of systems of governance—born from empty promises, designed to stress, provoke and divide.

These promised solutions, diluted by corruption, solve little. Nothing works. Issues persist.

I search for frustration and discomfort, stress and upset.

A bricolage approach lets me celebrate the overlooked, unmaintained, and forgotten—items and materials tossed aside, replaced by the new, shiny conveniences of modernity.
